Don't think you'd get a vehicle test failure for that, they're more interested that the doors stay closed.
Is it illegal to drive my car when i can not open the passanger door from the inside as the handle is missing?
You can still drive your car. I don't think that it's illegal.
Is it illegal to drive my car when i can not open the passanger door from the inside as the handle is missing?
yes , you have an illegal step because if you have an accident and you want to get out from inside ,in this case your life in serious danger therefore you should reaper your handle immediately and i hop the safety for you . ADEL
Reply:What country ya in? In Aust its illegal, safety issue. Perhaps you can rig something to do it without being sharp or dangerous.
Reply:It probably is not illegal but it is also not safe
Reply:It is legal but from a safety issue and a vehicle inspection issue it would not be legal also if you think about a police officer could write you up for the safety issue it stopped...
Reply:I don't think it would be illegal, buy I would get it fixed as soon as possible.

It was just another day on the South California for the DPS
and the DOT clean up Crew....
Was over 3 people killed in other News Stories with in the Same 48 hour period
So accidents don't get Vans anymore.
Unless its after a Big and Long Car chase...
DPS marked a chase from Border Check north of town North off hwy back on South and all the way to Otay to crash into Trucking company .... NO news crews on that one either...Because someone got shot downtown.
Reply:i tried finding something on the net, but no luck as you didn't submit enough details. date? name? colour and registration number of car?
Reply:Could not find anything but call your other friends and the hospitals and I hope all goes well..

A question for ALL Australian drivers?
what do you think of these new driving license laws? the idea of p platers only having 1 passenger between the ages of 16 and 25, 4 years of p plates, zero blood-alcohol, all that jazz. sure there are idiots on the road, but should those few hoons have to ruin it for the vast majority of p platers who go by the rules? do you think the new laws are all a bit stupid?
A question for ALL Australian drivers?
In proportion there are more younger drivers killed on our roads than any other age group. experts have found the causes are mostly from over confidence and ignorance of the results of chance taking. A drivers license is an earned privilege and is being treated as it should in this congested time. I am a member of a Road Safety Council and we just want to keep you younguns alive ~~
A question for ALL Australian drivers?
I dont live there but we have the same problem as stated above and I know you wont like it but just the same, safety first and an understanding of the rules first then once you get that you can do anything that you want, just slow down because life is to short and you will understand the true meaning of that as you get older, drive safe..

Working in heights, is foklift lifting persons safe?
NO. Under no circumstances should you attempt this.
There are usually saftey stickers on the fork showing someone standing on the tynes with a big red X through it.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS. Hire a cherry picker or get a longer ladder.
Working in heights, is foklift lifting persons safe?
If what you are asking is "Can you lift someone on a fork lift" then the answer is: Only in a special enclosed cage which can be lifted by the forklift tines and attached to the mast.
Working in heights, is foklift lifting persons safe?
I used to do it all the time when I worked at a lumber yard. But generally speaking OSHA frowns on that sort of thing. There is a safety cage that can be chained to the forks that is perfectly safe. I wouldn't drive around with the mast extended and someone on the forks though.
Reply:no its not,if OSHA ever walked in and seen this happening the would shut you down for doing this, that would be considered a safety violation, very unsafe to do this,i wouldn't to it ,someone could get seriously hurt while doing this, good luck.
Reply:Some lifts are made for one person. You as an operator lifting someone in the air is unsafe.. Yes. If he/she falls, you could be liable. Your company would fire you and insist it was your fault because you did not follow guidelines/safety regulations. You'd be suprised at all you could be accounted for if something went wrong. No Bull. Stop screwin around at work....
Reply:I have some stuff in storage. The place has stairways at each end, but also has 'elevators' in the middle. They're really just parked forklifts with a platform and railing on them.
Up and down. Down and up. Up and down. Down and up. Up and down. Down and up. Up and down. Down and up. Up and down. Down and up. Up and down. Down and up. Up and down. Down and up. Up and down. Reply:No it is not safe at all the forklift is not a safe machine to be used to lift a person to any height it is also most likely to be banned in regard to work safety laws ~~
Reply:to just stand on the forks or a pallet is not safe. there are special cages made for this and it is legal to do in pa. with these cages.
Reply:When lifting personnel always use an approved safety cage:
Cage should be attached appropriately to the forklift
The operator must be in the control position.
Cordoning the area should be considered.
Other personnel must be kept clear of cage work area.
Personnel in the cage should wear a body belt attached to the cage.
The mast should be in the vertical position and never tilted.
Movement of the forklift, while personnel are in the cage, should not be greater than creep speed.
Personnel should be at least one foot away from the cage per foot the cage is raised.

I need help from someone who is familar with the PA, lemmon laws.?
A close friend of mine brought a Pathfinder at local dealership that sells used cars %26amp; trucks. When he brought it, he was told the sale, would be "As Is , No Warranty". Recently he discover that the frame (Just in front of the bumper), is rotted away clean through, on both the drivers side and passengers side. since then he's done the McGiver thing by securing the bumper area and the frame on the passengers side to eachother. My ? is, at this point what are his options, if any at all???
I need help from someone who is familar with the PA, lemmon laws.?
Rust ... is a bad thing and NOT covered under Lemon Law
This is were looking a Vehicle over bumper to bumper before you buy it comes, or hiring or test driving it and taking it to a shop that Inspects pre-purchase... for a few dollars,,,
If he signed a purchase, Bill of Sale As-Is Where is No Implied or Expressed Warranty ... Means HE inspected it to his Satisfaction and wants it like it sits as it sits. No guessing.
If he Signed a Purchase "Contract" As-Is Where Is No Warranty , lock in as owner.
Now PA has a Law for new cars and New Car dealers if they sell a Vehicle the buyer has 3 days to return it. Also covers their Used cars....
If its a tote the note lot you need to hire a Lawyer.
If it was covered up AT all hire a Lawyer
If over 3 months ago Time is ticking away....
Call a Lawyer locally
Or....Link close to you and cover Hiden damage or coverups

"As is" purchases
If you knowingly purchase a car in "as is" condition you accept the defects and void your rights under applicable lemon laws.
I need help from someone who is familar with the PA, lemmon laws.?
This would be a safety issue and your friend would have a good chance at getting this fixed since all vehicles must have a front and rear bumper by law.
I would contact the dealer first and explain the bumper laws first and ask them what they wanted to do for this safety issue.
If they decline I would then ask them if they would like to be on the local news and then see what they say and then if they still dont budge call your local news station.....
Dont waste time with a attorney just yet, just wait and see what they will do either with or without the news there and good luck...

"Merge in Turn": the most dangerous road sign a motorist can see in Britain?
Is this a question or a statement?
"Merge in Turn": the most dangerous road sign a motorist can see in Britain?
Not if you "use your loaf" and do what it says! It's a simple method of keeping traffic flowing from two merging streams.
%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;ADDITIONAL%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;
And,.......... The idea was imported from GERMANY! Where it is a mandatory sign, ie, in Germany, you must comply.
"Merge in Turn": the most dangerous road sign a motorist can see in Britain?
British motorist have no knowledge or regards for the Highway code. Usually, they are totally ignorant of it.
That sign is copied from the USA where it works wonder. Here, the Brit look at it like an insult to force them to accept another car in front of them. Scandalous idea !
I am on the road day in day out with my truck and each time I see a car off the road, I applaud of joy to show my appreciation of the imbecility of those drivers.
Reply:why should it be dangerous. it means take your turn to merge and let the other in if it is their turn. simple consideration for others.
Reply:This simple "zipping" method is both logical and necessary to keep the traffic flow.
Americans get it, Germans get it, pretty much all of the Europe gets it, Australians get it. Poles ignore it, Slovaks and Czechs usually too, Hungarians have no idea.
But only Britons think it's dangerous. Interesting. Is the art of driving dying out over there? Or is it just the gentleman breed?
Reply:nothing dangerous about the sign. just bad drivers people in the right hand lane will try to que jump and cut in. if people merged in good time there would be no problem.
most dangerous signs would be 10% downhill gradient followed by slippery road surface then double bend and 13foot arch bridge
Reply:Most dangerous one is in Wales where you come flying round a corner at see a sign saying Dangergoslow and you think to yourself what a funny name for a place then you realise it said Danger go slow !
Reply:Only if you crash into it!
